Leo Murphy Photography

I am photographer based in Waterford, Ireland. While I have worked in the photography industry for over 30 years,  I’ve spent years creating work for a range of clients. I’ve adapted my style from film photography into the digital age to shoot weddings, portrait, commercial, and PR assignments. My style and approach is simple, classic, and true.

My greatest talents are the ability to mix with all types of people and I have the ability to get nervous subjects to relax in front of my camera.

In my 30 year career, I’ve photographed some of the most elegant brides, I’ve captured memorable family moments, I’ve photographed CEO’s/business heads for companies like FAS, Waterford Crystal and Bausch & Lomb. I’ve helped launch new campaigns for local councils. I’ve been aboard helicopters capturing aerial views of land and sea, and I’ve been very lucky to capture some of the world’s most famous faces like Tiger Woods as he spent time in the sunny South East.

These are the experiences I can bring to your project. You tell me what you need and when you need it and I’ll work with you to fit your brief. When I’m not behind the camera, I like to spend my time travelling the south west coast of Ireland, trying to find secluded beaches to capture my next great memory.

I’ve grown up with photography as part of my everyday life, so it was only a matter of time before I made the decision to follow in my dad’s footsteps and go behind the lens. My style differs slightly from Leo as my photography style focuses on the traditional aspects seen in all commercial, portrait and wedding photography but includes a strong vision of creativeness which I carry across from my degree in graphic design.

Shooting scenic, abstract, and street photography is what makes me tick. When I’m not working, I spend my time travelling, training and keeping up to date with the latest fashion & art trends.
